We are pleased to announce that we have opened our 80th Insomnia store and our 36th High Street store in Sutton Cross. We have opened where the old Permanent TSB was previously located. The store has a new feel to it, in comparison to our previous cafe’s. The store is very open, with lots of seating space and a modern feel, we really hope you like it as much as we do.
For this new store, we wanted to add a sense of community, so we decided we would reach out to the locals of Sutton and ask them to help us decorate one of the store walls, with a photo mural. We had many photos sent into us via Instagram, with fans using the Hashtag #IAmInsomniaSutton, or via email or Twitter. We then had the tough task of whittling down the best photos to make it on to the store mural, there were so many fantastic photos we wish we could have selected them all. After much deliberating about who felt what photo should be chosen we eventually selected the final photos to feature in the store mural. This is something new for one of our stores, and we hope it gives the store a real sense of the area, as the photos we received were all from the people of Sutton, this we hope will give the store a real warm homely feel.
The store itself was no more than a building site this time two weeks ago, and in that space of time has seen a huge transformation into the fantastic cafe shop which is now open to you today. We have put together a few photos that shows how the build took place, from how it looked a couple of weeks ago…..
To how it looks now…
Diane and her team are very excited to finally be open, and are very much so looking forward to serving the people of Sutton our double shot of premium coffee, not to mention getting to know the locals and have a chat with whoever pops in in the coming few weeks. So if you are in the area, please be sure to pop in and see our brand new store, meet Diane and the rest of the Insomnia staff and most importantly enjoy our delicious Fairtrade coffee.
