The Details 💚
We are very excited to participate in Fairtrade’s Fairbruary campaign, an initiative dedicated to supporting coffee producers through sustainable practices.
From February 3rd to February 17th, we will be donating 5 cents from every Fairtrade coffee sold to three Fairtrade coffee cooperatives:
COCAFELOL (Honduras)
UCA SOPPEXCCA (Nicaragua)
The money raised will support sustainable practices that enhance crop health, reduce carbon emissions through key project goals including:
☕ Reduce Carbon Emissions.
☕ Track Environmental Impact
☕ Promote Organic Best Practices
☕ Provide Industry Insights on Carbon Footprints
The project helps to equip these cooperatives with leading sustainability tools:
Cool Farm Tool – Tracks carbon emissions, water use, and biodiversity.
ISO 14064 – Provides a standardised way to measure carbon emissions across operations.
Including Workshops for cooperative field teams and manuals for Cool Farm Tool & ISO 14064 usage
Analysing collected data to develop strategies for reducing carbon footprints.
Calculating Climate Gain (TCS - TCE) to measure sustainability improvements.
Using insights for marketing to eco-conscious consumers who value responsible sourcing.
By choosing Fairtrade coffee during Fairbruary, you are:
✔ Empowering coffee producers with tools to combat climate change.
✔ Improving crop health & productivity, ensuring a more sustainable coffee supply.
✔ Fostering transparency in the coffee industry.
Since 2009 the Fairtrade initiative has allowed us to raise over €230,000 for our nominated projects. Join us this Fairbruary and make your coffee count!
