About Special Olympics Ireland
Special Olympics Ireland is a sports organisation for people with an intellectual disability from the age of 4 years old and spanning across all age groups. With nearly 7,500 athletes who participate in 15 different sports. Athletes are given the opportunity to learn new skills, build their confidence and grow life-long friendships.
Their annual fundraising day helps to fund their grass root programmes. From weekly club activities, health and leadership programmes and the ongoing competition across their 4 year cycle. Fundraising ensures Special Olympics Ireland can continue to transform more lives through the Special Olympics Programme.
Insomnia Coffee have been proud supporters of Special Olympics Ireland since 2009 and we were delighted to continue supporting their annual Collection Day this year.
Changing Lives Through Sport
The funds raised on May 2nd will go towards supporting Special Olympics Ireland’s incredible sports and leadership programmes — helping athletes build confidence, learn new skills and connect with their communities.
