Getting Reading in Insomnia Primark

Today marks the first day of winter, but more importantly we've opened our second UK Primark store in Reading. This is an exciting opening as it is a brand new Primark store as well!

The former BHS building in Broad Street now acts as Primark's flagship store. Reading is also the location of the company's UK headquarters. The 1960s building has undergone a major renovation to accomodate the large fashion retailer. The store is glass-fronted with black grantie pillars.

We now have five stores in partnership with Primark, our three Irish stores; Penneys Athlone, Penneys Swords and Penneys Waterford, and our recently new stores in Primark Bromley and Primark Reading. Harry, Insomnia CEO, "This year has been great for our expansion with our retial partners Primark, moving to the UK has opened a totally new market for us and we are looking forward to coninuing this growth of new stores with them in the future".

The store has been kitted out in our new rebranded shop model. These include our new teacup lights, our gallery wall and our scrabble wall piece. Primark fashionistas can now relax after their day shopping in the new store with a velvty flat white or a class cappuccino.

Dorota, our store manager, was eager to join the Insomnia team because it was a new brand in the UK market and she feels this creates "amazing opportunities for both personal growth and career development". As a manager, she feels the most rewarding part is being able to lead her team to deliver the best performance and service possible. Although its a quiet area, she feels that it is close to the busy side of London and also the beautiful seaside of Cornwall and Wales. Her personal favourite is an espresso on ice, but she feels that our hot chocolate is shaping up to be the nation's favourite.

Dorota and the team are looking forward to welcoming the Reading population into the store.
