Insomnia Coffee Company has expanded over sea and joined the UK market. We have recently opened in Cardiff and Bristol, with continued expansion through further openings in the greater London area.

Insomnia is Ireland’s leading independent coffee shop chain and the 16th largest in Europe. It has grown from a single location in a Galway Bookstore in 1997 to over 120 stores, both on the high street and in partnership with retailers such as SPAR, EUROSPAR, Eason, Fresh, An Post, Meadows & Byrne, Heatons, Debenhams, Maxol, Compass Catering, Primark and Blakemore. The company also has 300 self-service machines in operation in Ireland and the UK.

Insomnia currently employs 350 people throughout Ireland directly in its company-owned stores, along with a further 300 people through its concessions and franchised stores. It was recently awarded the National Café Chain of the Year in the Irish Café Quality Food Awards 2016 and “Best Indigenous Franchise” in the Irish Franchise Awards 2016.
