We are excited to open our newest store in the costal village of Portmarnock!  We’re located on Strand Road beside Lidl. 

The new store design is inspired by coffee and it promises to be the hub for the Portmarnock community. With comfortable and welcoming seating and some quirky and fun décor, this is the perfect place for your morning coffee or to relax with friends over a refreshing lemonade. The store will also run the popular book swap system, where not only can you sit back and relax with a good book and coffee, customers can also take a book home, all they have to do is leave a book in their place. 

Marija Krasnic, our Store Manager has 8 years’ experience working in the coffee industry and was previously a supervisor in Insomnia Swords, she is really excited with the opening “Insomnia is a strong company name in Ireland, I love the excellent customer service Insomnia have, in the same way Insomnia care for all their staff”. Marija’s favourite hot beverage is a flat white with oat milk but she thinks the local’s favourites will be tea and americano’s. 

Our Supervisor Andreea Boeru has previously worked with Insomnia in Spar and Eurospar and has 3 years’ experience in the coffee sector. She choose to work with Insomnia because she “loves to work with the coffee, I love to drink coffee and I find insomnia stronger than other brands and tasty”. 

Barista Darren Williams is new to the Insomnia family but has a wealth of experience in the coffee and hospitality industry. He is excited to peruse his love of coffee in this new role. His favourite hot beverage is a flat white whilst he thinks the local’s favourite will be a cappuccino. Yuan Wen Chen is also new to the Insomnia team but is excited to start brewing up the local favourite coffee. She thinks the locals favourite hot beverage will be a flat white. 

Our full summer range will be available in store, including ICECAP favourites; Oreo and Salted Caramel Latte as well as our very popular Strawberry Rainbow ICECAP. Our Limited Edition drinks, Cold Brew, Amaretto Affogato and Orange Espresso Tonic will also be available in store.
