We're delighted to have opened a new store in the UK this morning with the official opening of Insomnia @ Thurcroft, located Southeast of Rotherham in South Yorkshire. Insomnia Thurcroft manager, Jess is looking forward to welcoming all of our new customers in Thurcroft and thinks that a new coffee shop is just what the local community needs. 

It is the second coffee shop Blakemore Retail has opened in partnership with the Insomnia Coffee Company, and we look forward to working together on develop further stores in the UK. Matt Teague, Blakemore Retail’s fresh & foodservice development director, said: “In line with our foodservice development plans, adding the Insomnia coffee shop to the already successful Spar stores has created another dimension to our Thurcroft store location, where we have generated an exciting shopping experience and a fantastic hub of choice for shoppers in the local community and surrounding areas.

“To add a real sense of local atmosphere, we have included a feature wall within the coffee shop, depicting the mining heritage of the village and we thank local resident Fred Gething for his kind generosity in donating the photographs used.” 

Insomnia Thurcroft which offers indoor and outdoor seating for 35 customers, free wifi and has created six new jobs in the community.
