Serving up your Fairtrade Brew in Littleover

Insomnia Coffee Company are delighted to announce an exciting new store opening with leading UK retailer, the Central England Co-operative. The store opened today in Littleover, on the Burton Road. The store was officially opened by Central England Co-op President Elaine Dean.  

Customers can expect a full range of al-fresco lunch options, tasty treats and the finest Fairtrade Coffee. To celebrate the opening, customers can customise their coffee with their own very special “mug shot” using our interactive selfie machine with a selfie or message on their coffee.

Tony Willis, Central England Co-op Store Manager at Burton Road, said: “The Society has been looking into the best way to utilise space at our Littleover Food Store to improve the offer available to our customers and members for some time.

“Therefore, I am really pleased to have Insomnia on board to deliver a high-quality café within the store, offering fantastic Fairtrade coffee and a great selection of sandwiches, cakes and snacks, which will really enhance the in-store experience.

“As a co-operative retailer which takes great pride in its support of the Fairtrade movement and in its record on sustainability and the environment, we are delighted to partner with Insomnia which shares our ethos in both those areas, selling 100% Fairtrade coffee and tea, as well as continually driving to improve its environmental sustainability.” 

 

This latest partnership marks a high point in Insomnia’s growth which has seen the company go from strength to strength since the opening of its first outlet in a Galway bookstore in 1997. Other successful partnerships for the brand include affiliations with Primark. Spar, Eurospar, Londis, Mace Meadows and Byrne, Eason and Maxol.
