18 Apr2018 The Coffee Awakens the Force Within in Spar Cahersiveen

As the sun shone down for what felt like the first time this year our team were busy prepping to open our newest store and meeting all of the lovely locals in Cahersiveen, which you may know as the popular mainland location beside Skellig Michael, the island made famous by Star Wars: Force Awakens.

Located in the gateway to the Skellig region, Cahersiveen is a popular tourist destination, so we are looking forward to a busy summer season as the town of Cahersiveen is a destination point for many people travelling along the Wild Atlantic Way!

Insomnia manager, Karen, has worked in the hospitality industry for over 12 years and her favourite coffee is a latte. Karen thinks the locals favourite will be a cappuccino, but in the summer months the ice drinks will be really popular with tourists looking for refreshing drinks on warm summer days. Karen is also really excited that Insomnia Cahersiveen has opened at the same time as our new coffee blend, Voyager, launches. The team were delighted to have Ivana, one of Insomnia’s coffee trainers, providing additional training and support during their opening week.
