Castlebar is home to Ireland's largest GAA pitch and now Mayo's first Insomnia coffee store! We opened in Castlebar Maxol today. 

Maxol has invested into revamping their Castlebar and Westport stores. The new revamped Castlebar store has created 20 jobs in the locality. Brian Donaldson, Maxol's group general manager and incoming CEO has said that they're "delighted to be investing in the west of Ireland at these great locations in Mayo, both of which represent a significant development for Maxol". 

Store manager, Ger Mullahy likes the idea of two brand leaders - Insomnia Coffee and Maxol working together. His favourite coffee is Americano and thinks that the cappuccino will be a favourite among the Castlebar population. 

Niamh, our store manager, shares Ger's opinon on the friendly locals and how she thinks Insomnia will be a big hit in the area. Niamh says she is thrilled to start working with Insomnia and is looking forward to leading her team. Her favourite coffee is a cappuccino and if she had a superpower it would to be invisible.

Jenny, one of our baristas is Castlebar born and bred, and says she cant way to start serving the local community. Cappuccino is her favourite coffee and her career goal for the future is to one day manage an Insomnia store herself. (Mainly so she can drink cappuccinos all day!)

After today, it seems like the Oreo Icecaps ended up being the local favourite - despite the gloomy weather!
